Make the Most of Campus Visits

Campus visits are an important way for a student to determine if a college is right for them, as well as a way to underscore a student’s interest in a college. Researching college websites and guidebooks and viewing virtual campus tours are no substitute for observing the dynamics in the student union at lunchtime, attending a sporting event or sitting in on a class. Our students know what to do before, during and after visits.

We help you get the most out of your time spent on campus by advising:

  • When is the best time to visit

  • What questions to ask of admissions staff, faculty, and students

  • Where best to spend your time on campus

  • What to look for in order to evaluate whether a school is a good match

Gain Confidence in Interviewing

We conduct mock interviews with students so they become more confident in presenting themselves in the best light. We also help students prepare a list of their own questions to facilitate their learning about, and demonstrate their sincere interest in, a school’s programs and educational philosophy.

We are there to help you :

  • Reflect upon and reveal your strengths and abilities that are not evident from your application

  • Prepare answers to possible questions to maximize your opportunity to shine

  • Ensure that the interview is a two-way exchange of information and ideas

  • Stay calm, cool and collected by providing tips to manage your stress

Step 3: Visiting Colleges

  • Prepare students for campus visits

  • Prepare students for interviews

Carolyn Cohen was an indispensable ally to our family throughout the college-admission process. Her knowledge, expertise and personalized attention on all matters relating to applying to college were a huge help to us, and played no small part in our daughter being accepted early decision to her first choice.
